Sphere Spectrum

The sphere spectrum S is the suspension spectrum of the based zero-dimensional sphere S^0. Its sequential model has jth space S^j, with the usual suspension identifications. It is the unit for the smash product, and its homotopy groups are the stable homotopy groups of spheres. The notation S_p^ ^ denotes its derived p-completion.
