Nakajima Quiver Variety

A Nakajima quiver variety is a symplectic quotient constructed from the cotangent space of a framed quiver representation space with a stability condition. For a finite quiver Q and complex spaces V_i,W_i, put

G=product_(i)GL(V_i),N= direct sum _(a:i->j)Hom(V_i,V_j) direct sum direct sum _iHom(V_i,W_i).

For the cotangent moment map mu:N direct sum N^*->g^* and a character nu of G, the stable quotient is X=mu^(-1)(0)^(nu-stable)/G. When semistability equals stability and G acts freely on that locus, the quotient is smooth. Such a stability character is called regular here, and the stable locus is allowed to be empty.

Loops and multiple arrows are permitted. A torus acting on N and commuting with G gives equivariant parameters. The cohomology algebra of the quotient is compared with a fixed subscheme of the associated Coulomb branch in the Hikita conjecture.
