Symplectic Resolution

A symplectic resolution of a symplectic singularity X is a resolution of singularities f:Y->X for which the symplectic form on the smooth locus extends to a nondegenerate holomorphic two-form on all of Y. The resolved variety is therefore a holomorphic symplectic manifold. Nondegeneracy is an additional condition beyond extension of the form (Fu 2006). The cohomological Hikita conjecture uses the cohomology of such a resolution.
