Elementary Symmetric Polynomial

An elementary symmetric polynomial e_k(x_1,...,x_n) is the sum of all products of k distinct variables:

 e_k(x_1,...,x_n)=sum_(1<=i_1<...<i_k<=n)x_(i_1)...x_(i_k).

The convention is e_0=1, with e_k=0 for k>n. For example, e_2(x_1,x_2,x_3)=x_1x_2+x_1x_3+x_2x_3. Products e_lambda=product_(i)e_(lambda_i) give the elementary basis for symmetric functions.
