Uniform Rectifiability

Uniform rectifiability is a quantitative form of rectifiability requiring substantial images of Lipschitz functions at every location and scale. An n-dimensional Ahlfors-David regular measure mu on R^d is uniformly n-rectifiable if there are constants theta>0 and M<infty such that, for every x in suppmu and 0<r<=diamsuppmu, some Lipschitz function g:B_(R^n)(0,r)->R^d with Lipschitz constant at most M satisfies

 mu(B(x,r) intersection g(B_(R^n)(0,r)))>=thetar^n.

Here the balls are open, suppmu is the support, and diam denotes diameter. For example, Hausdorff measure on an n-dimensional affine space has this property using an isometric parametrization. The uniform constants strengthen the covering condition in the definition of a rectifiable set.
