Polynomial Littlewood-Offord Problem

The polynomial Littlewood-Offord problem asks for anti-concentration inequality bounds for polynomials evaluated at independent random signs. Let F be a multilinear polynomial of total degree d>=1 with complex coefficients, and let r(F)>0 be the largest number of nonzero monomials of total degree d whose variable sets are pairwise disjoint. If xi_1,...,xi_n are independent random signs, each taking the values -1 and 1 with probability 1/2, then

 P(F(xi_1,...,xi_n)=0)<=(C2^dsqrt(d))/(sqrt(r(F))),

where C is an absolute constant (Grebennikov 2026). For fixed d, the order r(F)^(-1/2) is optimal.

Grebennikov (2026) attributes discovery of the argument to an autonomous GPT-6 Pro session and supplies a human-checked exposition of the proof.
