Parametric Curve

A parametric curve is the image of a continuous map r:I->R^n from an interval I. In the plane it is written r(t)=(x(t),y(t)), while in space it is written r(t)=(x(t),y(t),z(t)). The parameterization is regular where the tangent vector r^'(t) is nonzero. Different parameterizations can trace the same geometric curve with different speeds or orientations.
