Ma-Trudinger-Wang Condition

The Ma-Trudinger-Wang condition is a curvature condition on a transport cost used to control regularity of optimal transport maps. For the cost c(x,y)=d(x,y)^2/2 on a Riemannian manifold, its weak form requires

 -3/2(partial^4)/(partials^2partialt^2)c(exp_x(txi),exp_x(p+seta))|_(s=t=0)>=0

for p in the open injectivity domain I(x) and tangent vectors xi,eta with <xi,eta>=0. The cost is smooth at these pairs. For Euclidean squared distance this fourth derivative is zero. The orthogonality restriction is part of the weak condition.
