Cellular Embedding

CellularEmbedding

A cellular embedding of a graph in a surface is a graph embedding in which every graph face is homeomorphic to an open disk. In a cellular embedding, the vertex count, edge count, and graph face count determine the Euler characteristic of the surface. An orientable rotation system determines a cellular embedding of a connected graph.
