The SSS similarity theorem states that two triangles are similar triangles if their three pairs of
corresponding sides have proportional
lengths. Thus, if

are similar triangles. Unlike the SSS
theorem for congruent triangles, the SSS
similarity theorem requires corresponding side lengths to
be proportional rather than equal.
