Pure Strategy

A pure strategy specifies a definite action at every decision point of a game. It contains no randomization, in contrast to a mixed strategy, which assigns probabilities to pure strategies.

In a simultaneous one-move game, a pure strategy is simply one available action. In a sequential game, it is a complete contingent plan, including actions at decision points that may not be reached during play.
