Howie Conjecture

The Howie conjecture asks whether every finite nonsingular system of group equations over a group G has a solution in some overgroup containing G. For m equations in n unknowns, nonsingularity means that the m×n integer exponent-sum matrix has row matrix rank m over Q, so m<=n. The group G is arbitrary and may have torsion.
