The Hodge dual of a differential k-form on an
-dimensional Riemannian
manifold with a chosen manifold orientation
is the differential (n-k)-form
obtained by applying the Hodge
star. Thus, the Hodge star is the operator, while
the Hodge dual is the resulting form, although Hodge dual is also sometimes used
for the operator itself.
