Hanner Polytope

A Hanner polytope is a convex polytope obtained recursively from centered line segments by taking Cartesian products and the following convex sums. If H_1 subset R^k and H_2 subset R^l are Hanner polytopes, their convex sum is the convex hull of (H_1×{0}) union ({0}×H_2) in R^(k+l). Cartesian powers of centered line segments and cross polytopes are examples.

Every n-dimensional Hanner polytope H has volume product

 vol(H)vol(H degrees)=(4^n)/(n!),

where H degrees is its polar body. These are the proposed equality cases in the symmetric Mahler volume product conjecture.
