Graph Homomorphism Density

The graph homomorphism density of a finite simple graph H in a nonempty finite simple graph G is

 t(H,G)=(hom(H,G))/(|V(G)|^(|V(H)|)),

where hom(H,G) counts all graph homomorphisms from H to G. It is the probability that a uniformly chosen function from V(H) to V(G) takes every graph edge of H to a graph edge of G. The function may identify vertices that are not adjacent.

For the complete graph K_2, t(K_2,G)=2|E(G)|/|V(G)|^2. This normalization is used in Sidorenko's conjecture.
