Connection Laplacian

A connection Laplacian is the second-order operator L_(g,A)=d_A^(*g)d_A associated with a vector bundle connection on a Riemannian manifold. The adjoint uses the Riemannian metric and the fiber inner product. For a unitary connection d_A=d+A on a trivial Hermitian bundle, this is an elliptic operator on vector-valued sections. For the trivial connection on scalar functions, it reduces to the positive Laplace-Beltrami operator.

On a smooth compact manifold with boundary, its Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator can be specified by the energy pairing

 <Lambda_(g,A)f,h>=int_M<d_Au_f,d_Au_h>_gdV_g,

where L_(g,A)u_f=L_(g,A)u_h=0 with boundary values f,h.
