Santaló Point

The Santaló point s(K) of a convex body K subset R^n is the unique point z in its interior minimizing the volume of the polar body (K-z) degrees. For a centrosymmetric set that is a convex body, it is the center of symmetry. For a simplex, it is the geometric centroid.

Centering at s(K) defines the volume product P(K)=vol(K)vol((K-s(K)) degrees) used in the Mahler volume product conjecture. The two volume factors transform inversely under an invertible affine transformation, so P(K) is affine invariant.
