Relatively Dense Set

A relatively dense set in Euclidean space R^n is a subset S for which there is a constant R>0 such that every closed ball of radius R meets S. Equivalently, every point of R^n is within distance R of some point of S (Moody 2000).

Relative density differs from density in the topological sense. For example, Z^n is relatively dense in R^n but is not a dense set. A relatively dense set that, with Euclidean distance, is also a uniformly discrete metric space is called a Delone set.
