Quarter-Disk

QuarterDisk

A quarter-disk is the region bounded by a quarter circle and two perpendicular radii. It is a circular sector with central angle pi/2 radians (90 degrees). For radius r, its area A, curved arc length s, and total perimeter P are

A=1/4pir^2
(1)
s=1/2pir
(2)
P=(2+1/2pi)r.
(3)

(Kern and Bland 1948, p. 3).
