Half-Disk

HalfDisk

A half-disk is the region bounded by a semicircle and its diameter. It is a circular sector with central angle pi radians (180 degrees). For radius r, its area A, curved arc length s, and total perimeter P are

A=1/2pir^2
(1)
s=pir
(2)
P=(pi+2)r.
(3)

(Kern and Bland 1948, p. 3). A half-disk is also called a semidisk (or semidisc).
