Kuznetsov Rationality Conjecture

The Kuznetsov rationality conjecture for cubic fourfolds asserts that a smooth complex cubic fourfold is rational precisely when its Kuznetsov component is exactly C-linearly equivalent to the ordinary bounded derived category of a smooth projective K3 surface. The target category in this formulation has no Brauer twisting.

For a discriminant d, the Hassett divisor C_d parametrizes smooth cubic fourfolds whose integral (2,2)-cohomology contains a saturated positive-definite rank-two sublattice containing h^2 and having determinant d, where h=c_1(O_X(1)). The admissible discriminants satisfy

 d>6, d=0,2 (mod6), 4d, 9d,

and no odd prime congruent to 2 modulo 3 divides d. For instance, 14 and 26 meet these arithmetic conditions.
