The Jiang-Su algebra
is the simple unital inductive-limit C*-algebra
constructed from prime dimension-drop algebras
by Jiang and Su (Rørdam and Winter 2010). It is separable,
infinite-dimensional,
nuclear, and has a unique tracial
state. The construction chooses connecting maps; an arbitrary
inductive limit of dimension-drop algebras
need not be
.
A C*-algebra absorbing
under the minimal tensor
product has Jiang-Su stability.
