Jacobsthal Polynomial

JacobsthalPolynomial

The Jacobsthal polynomials are the W-polynomial obtained by setting p(x)=1 and q(x)=2x in the Lucas polynomial sequence. The first few Jacobsthal polynomials are

J_1(x)=1
(1)
J_2(x)=1
(2)
J_3(x)=1+2x
(3)
J_4(x)=1+4x
(4)
J_5(x)=4x^2+6x+1,
(5)

Jacobsthal polynomials satisfy

 J_n(1)=J_n
(6)

where J_n is a Jacobsthal number.
