Incidence Geometry


Incidence geometry is the branch of geometry that studies which objects, such as points and lines, are incident, without requiring notions such as distance or angle. An abstract point-line incidence structure consists of a set P of points, a set L of lines, and an incidence relation

 I subset= P×L.

Writing pIl means that the point p lies on the line l.
