The Hesse configuration is a configuration consisting of 9 points and 12 lines such that three points lie on each line and four lines pass through each point. Its points can be taken as the 9 points of a grid and its lines as the 3 horizontal, 3 vertical, 2 diagonal, and 4 broken diagonal lines connecting these points.
Its Levi graph may be termed the Hesse graph.
The Hesse configuration is related to a number of other configurations. The Möbius-Kantor configuration can be obtained by removing any one point together with its four incident lines. The Pappus configuration can be obtained by removing three lines that are horizontal, vertical, upward diagonal, or downward diagonal.
