Freudenthal Suspension Theorem

The Freudenthal suspension theorem states that if a pointed CW-complex X is (n-1)-connected for an integer n>=1, then for i>=1 the suspension map pi_i(X)->pi_(i+1)(SigmaX) is an isomorphism for i<2n-1 and a surjection for i=2n-1. It yields the stable range in which homotopy groups are unchanged by suspension. Here (n-1)-connected means that X is pathwise-connected and pi_j(X)=0 for 1<=j<n. For n=1, this condition simply requires pathwise-connectedness.
