Eigenspace


The eigenspace of an n×n square matrix A associated with an eigenvalue lambda is the null space of A-lambdaI. It consists of the zero vector 0 together with all eigenvectors corresponding to lambda. Its dimension is the geometric multiplicity of lambda.
