Bounded Symmetric Domain

A bounded symmetric domain is a connected bounded open subset of a complex vector space such that each point is an isolated fixed point of a holomorphic involution of the domain. For example, the unit disk is symmetric. If phi_a(z)=(z-a)/(1-a^_z) carries a point a to zero, then phi_a^(-1)(-phi_a(z)) is an involution with isolated fixed point a. Products of bounded symmetric domains are also bounded symmetric domains.
