Additive Functor

An additive functor between preadditive categories is a functor F:A->B that induces a group homomorphism from each morphism group Hom_(A)(X,Y) to Hom_(B)(F(X),F(Y)). Equivalently, F(f+g)=F(f)+F(g) for every pair of morphisms f,g:X->Y (Stacks Project Authors 2026).
