The Zindler conoid is a right conoid and cubic ruled surface that can be given by parametric equations

x=ucosv

y=usinv
(2)
z=atan(2v)
(3)

for u>=0 and 0<=v<2pi. It has Cartesian equation

 z=(2axy)/(x^2-y^2)
(4)

(Ferréol and Vidiani).
