Thomason Model Structure

A Thomason model structure on categories detects weak equivalences through a simplicial nerve and compares their homotopy theory with that of spaces. In the higher-dimensional formulation, the right adjoint is R_n=Ex^2N_n, where N_n is the Street nerve and Ex is right adjoint to simplicial subdivision. Its left adjoint is c_nSd^2, where c_n is the categorification functor and Sd is subdivision.
