Short Game

A short game is a Conway game with only finitely many positions (Schleicher and Stoll 2006). Equivalently, there is a finite bound on the number of successive options that can be taken from the initial position.

Every short game has a unique canonical form, obtained by removing dominated options and bypassing reversible options. The canonical form gives a test for game equality.
