Sheaf Section

For a sheaf F on a topological space X and an open set U subset= X, a sheaf section over U is an element s in F(U). If V subset= U is open, the restriction map sends s to its restriction s|_V in F(V). A section over all of X is called a global section, while a section over an open subset is called a local section.
