Sesquilinear Form


A sesquilinear form on a complex vector space V is a function B:V×V->C that is linear in one argument and conjugate-linear in the other. With the convention that the first argument is conjugate-linear,

 B(au+bv,w)=a^_B(u,w)+b^_B(v,w)

and

 B(u,av+bw)=aB(u,v)+bB(u,w).
