Semicircumference

Semicircumference

The term "semicircumference" is used, especially in older works (e.g., Cayley 1891, 1897) to refer to half of a circumference. In terms of the circumference C, radius r, and diameter d of a circle, the semicircumference s is given by

s=C/2
(1)
=pir
(2)
=(pid)/2.
