Schnell Fiber Space Conjecture

Schnell's fiber-space conjecture is the assertion that a morphism with connected fibers f:X->Y between smooth connected projective complex varieties with geometric generic fiber F of Kodaira dimension zero satisfies kappa(X)=dimY if m_0K_X-f^*H is pseudo-effective for some positive integer m_0 and ample Cartier divisor H on Y. The ample comparison is essential. For example, a product of an elliptic curve with P^1 has fibers of Kodaira dimension zero over P^1, but total Kodaira dimension -infty and fails that numerical hypothesis.
