A pseudotensor is a tensor-like object which reverses sign under inversion. Given a transformation matrix

where det is the determinant. A pseudotensor is sometimes
also called a tensor density.
Despite the similar names, this differential-geometric notion is unrelated to a pseudo-tensor category.
