Projective Bundle

A projective bundle associated with a vector bundle E of rank r on a variety B has projective-space fibers of dimension r-1. In the subspace convention, P_B(E) parametrizes one-dimensional subspaces of the fibers of E. Locally where E is trivial, it is U×P^(r-1). Another common convention parametrizes one-dimensional quotients and replaces E by its dual.

For a smooth projective base, descendant Gromov-Witten invariants can be studied on this total space.
