Norm Central Sequence Algebra

The norm central sequence algebra of a unital C*-algebra A, for a free ultrafilter omega on the positive integers, is

 F_omega(A)=A^omega intersection A^',

where A is its diagonal copy in the norm ultrapower A^omega. A bounded sequence represents an element of F_omega(A) precisely when its commutators with every fixed element of A tend to zero in norm along omega. The construction uses norm convergence, without a chosen tracial state.
