Neovius Minimal Surface


The Neovius minimal surface is a triply periodic minimal surface without self-intersections, and hence an embedded surface. It has genus 9 per translational cell and was constructed by Neovius (1883).

Schoen (1970) denoted the Neovius minimal surface by C(P), the complement of Schwarz's minimal surface, because the two minimal surfaces contain the same straight lines and have the same space group.
