Global Nilpotent Cone

The global nilpotent cone on a curve is the locus of nilpotent Higgs fields in the cotangent stack of the moduli stack of principal bundles. For a smooth projective curve X and a reductive group with a suitable invariant form, a cotangent vector is a bundle P and a section of ad(P) tensor omega_X. The section is required to be nilpotent at the generic point.

With a Borel reduction beta at a marked point x, the parabolic version allows a simple pole and requires

 phi in H^0(X,ad(P) tensor omega_X(x)),Res_xphi in LieR_u(B_beta).

Here R_u(B_beta) is the unipotent radical of the chosen Borel subgroup, and phi is again generically nilpotent.
