Fano Contraction

A Fano contraction is a projective surjective morphism f:X->Z of normal integral varieties with f_*O_X=O_Z, rationally Cartier K_X, and relatively ample anticanonical divisor -K_X. The condition on the structure sheaf expresses connected fibers. The relative Picard number need not be 1, and a birational contraction is allowed.
