Elongated Gyrobifastigium

ElongatedGyrobifastigium

The elongated gyrobifastigium, which could also be called an elongated digonal gyrobicupola, is a family of octahedra obtained by elongating the gyrobifastigium with four triangles expanded into pentagons. The gyrobifastigium together with equilateral and canonical elongated versions are illustrated above. The latter are implemented in the Wolfram Language as PolyhedronData["CanonicalElongatedGyrobifastigium"] and PolyhedronData["EquilateralElongatedGyrobifastigium"], respectively.

The equilateral version is one member of a family of space-filling polyhedra that whose member may be called gabled rhombohedra.
