Coarse Novikov Conjecture

The coarse Novikov conjecture asserts rational injectivity of reduced coarse assembly for uniformly discrete metric spaces of bounded geometry. Writing P_r(X) for the Rips complex, its domain is

 KX_j(X)=_(r->infty)K_j^(lf)(P_r(X)),

where K_j^(lf) is locally finite analytic K-homology and j is taken modulo 2. The reduced map is

 mu_X:KX_j(X)->K_j(C^*(X)),

with C^*(X) the locally compact reduced Roe algebra. Rational injectivity means that tensoring the map with Q gives an injective map. Surjectivity is a separate assertion.
