An antisoliton is the counterpart of a soliton with opposite topological charge, meaning that it connects the same asymptotic states in the reverse order. For the sine-Gordon equation, the soliton and antisoliton are respectively the kink and antikink solutions. A breather can be viewed as an oscillating bound soliton-antisoliton pair (Infeld and Rowlands 2000, pp. 200-201).
