Monotone Increasing

A monotone increasing function f(x) on an interval I is a nondecreasing function and satisfies

 f(x_1)<=f(x_2)

for all x_1,x_2 in I with x_1<x_2. Equality is allowed. A strictly increasing function instead requires f(x_1)<f(x_2) for all such pairs.
