Sink


In mathematics, a sink is an part of a larger structure to which values "flow into," either locally or globally, upon iteration, traversal, etc.

For example, a map sink is a stable fixed point of a map which, in a dissipative dynamical system, is an attractor, and a digraph sink is a node of a directed graph with no exiting edges.

The opposite of a sink is a source.
